Pixel Puppets is an hour-long live digitally interactive comedy show for grown-ups, where you join your favourite “own-brand” kids’ TV characters on a quest to save their world and give adulting the middle finger… Purpose-built for traditional theatre stages, it gives venues an easy gateway into incorporating XR tech and reimagines what a night at the theatre can be through real-time audience control.

Pixel Puppets is the joint creation of creative director and technologist Ben Carlin and digital producer Joe Duggan. Ben co-founded Megaverse and steered Game Changers, winner of the Broadcast Tech Innovation Award for Best Use of Virtual Production. Joe heads digital at the National Youth Theatre, delivered the UK’s first large-scale VR theatre show, and is partnering with Rineyard to push live storytelling with generative AI.
